Community Gardens
With the mild climate of North Carolina, it is not surprising that a favorite past time for residents is gardening. The centerpiece for the Community Gardens is the original farmhouse, which provides storage for equipment and a meeting place club members and those with private plots. The Community Garden offers private plots, plots designated for the Ocean Ridge Plantation gardening club, a greenhouse, as well as a perennial garden. Private plot owners pay a modest annual fee, which helps support the cost of maintenance, watering and garden tools and equipment.
